Consumers who have sold an old mobile phone for cash, or are considering doing so, could be tempted to opt for a new Nokia C5 handset when they upgrade.

The new device is included in the manufacturers core series of mobile phones, part of the operators new labelling system for handsets.

Users could find that keeping up to date with friends is easy even when they are on the move, as the mobile‘s unique phone book includes the latest status updates from contacts’ Facebook.

Friends can also be called with ease through the homescreen as it lists the users three favourite entries.

The handset also boasts a 2.2-inch screen and a 3.2-inch megapixel camera.

Nokia has suggested the mobile will be available from the second quarter of this year for a price of approximately €135 (£122).

The C5 fits in to the mid-range market of Nokia’s recently announced naming conventions, with one being lowest and nine being the highest in terms of functionality and price.
