Two new handsets from LG could encourage consumers to sell an old mobile phone for cash to put towards an upgrade.

LG has already sold 13 million Cookie handsets worldwide and the LG Cookie Fresh and LG Cookie Plus will be looking to expand on those sales.

The 3G Cookie Plus device focuses on social networking, meaning that people who would like to use the internet while on the go could wish to take a closer look at it in order to keep in touch with friends.

Sixteen different colour schemes are available for the Cookie Fresh and a range of downloadable apps and themes might mean that customisation is simpler than ever.

Mobile recycling could be an option to consider for people thinking about replacing their current mobile phone with a new handset in the LG Cookie series.

Both handsets are expected to be made available in late March.

Techradar reports that the handset will be priced under £100.
