Whether it is a safari in South Africa or a week on the Costa del Sol planned for this summer, mobile phone owners may like to share the most special moments with the friends and family they leave in the UK.
By trading-in a used device and splashing out on an iPhone or android-powered handset, people could take advantage of a new app that allows them to do just that.
Devon-based eCards Media has launched the app that offers people on holiday the chance to take a picture with their phone and send it to them via the app.
The firm then prints it in a postcard style and sends it to a customer’s loved one in the UK.
Sam Heaton, managing director at the company, says: "In this modern world of digital photos, having a real tangible card arriving in the post is a valuable thing people appreciate the effort."
Millions of people may already be able to enjoy the app, as Apple reported its iPhone 4 sold 1.7 million units within three days of its release last month.
