A recent advert released by Motorola has hinted that its users will be able to personalise the specifications and hardware of its upcoming mobile phone.

The company marketed the device as "the first smartphone you can design yourself" as well as promoting the fact the smartphone will be made entirely on American grounds.

The full-page spread says the Moto X will give "users should have the freedom to design the things in life to be as unique as you are" but gives away no further information about what this specifically means.

It may mean that users get to determine how their battery power is used similar to a computer or there could just be a variety of colour options.

The Google-owned company isn't making it very clear so we'll just have to sit tight and wait for further announcements.
