Trading in a mobile now might be the perfect option by people who would like to enjoy the new Facebook iPhone app, should it materialise.

TechCrunch has claimed it has viewed leaked documents relating to the tool, which is said to feature a brand new photo-sharing function.

Indeed, the website suggested that the app is based on its ability to make adding images to the social even easier than before.

It admitted the program is likely to still be a "work in progress", with some speculation over whether bosses could instead simply add the new photo-upload system to the existing tool.

Facebook is the world's largest portal for pictures, with approximately 100 billion shots said to be found on the site, the online publication noted.

Earlier this week, the Telegraph published suggestions by 9to5Mac that the long-awaited iPhone 5 will be released at some point later this year, probably in September.
