Trading-in mobiles and splashing out on the latest devices is one way firms can maintain their smart and professional image.
But many are now facing a tough choice between investing in scores of Apple's revolutionary iPhone or the BlackBerry devices that have been associated with the business world for some time.
Heather McLean, editor of Mobile Business, says the iPhone is definitely closing the gap on BlackBerry in the corporate world.
"More companies are switching over to iPhone from more traditionally business functional handsets, like Blackberry and Nokia's Eseries phones," she states.
Ms Mclean adds the adoption of snazzy new handsets often improves staff happiness, although she wonders whether the iPhone is "rugged enough" for banks.
One financial institution that clearly does not share her fears is Standard Chartered, where workers across the globe now use the Apple model.
Bloomberg recently reported JPMorgan Chase & Co is considering a similar move by allowing staff to use the iPhone for work emails.
