An LG Wink phone may be ideal for those looking to upgrade their mobile and trade in an old handset.

LG has launched the new Wink Series, designed for young mobile phone users or those new to mobiles with touchscreens.

Individuals who do not own a touchscreen phone could sell their old mobile to raise cash for one of LG’s new range.

A trio of handsets are featured – the Wink, Wink 3G and Wink Style.

Mobile phone fans will be able to use the device to keep in touch with friends and family, as each phone has an “easy-to-use virtual qwerty keypad that allows for texting without the bulk of a physical keyboard”.

And the phones in the Wink Series have an FM radio, a 3.5 inch headphone jack and microSD slot so users can share films and movies.

The series will be available in Europe later this month.

Reviewer Charles Kloet, writing for CNET UK, recently suggested the LG Optimus GT540 may be option for consumers on budget.
