A Nokia expert has spoken out on the subject of the Finnish brand’s ability to design, develop and manufacture next generation mobile phone technology.
Phil, writing the latest Nokia Conversations blog, explains his belief that the company’s future products will continue to make current models look like “two tin cans and a piece of string”, such is the rate of advancement.
This is perhaps ideally illustrated by the upcoming arrival of 4G technology, which is said to be approximately 50 times faster than today’s 3G connections.
It means download speeds for mobile phones will rise from about 2mbps to about 100mbps.
And the author notes it was Nokia that first showcased 4G technology and what it might be able to achieve some five years ago.
Among Nokia’s most recent releases – arguably possessing its newest features and functions – are the N8 and C7 models, both of which were launched in 2010.
