According to a new publication, the company behind the LG Arena and Viewty Smart will continue to commit to tackling climate change.

In news that may interest those recycling mobile phones, the group has issued its 2009 Environmental Report in which it promises to carry on pushing for greener processes.

LG explained that by ensuring it could offer the most sustainable practices possible, it would be able to improve itself as a business and do right by its customers.

Vice chairman and chief executive officer Yong Nam explained there are a range of environmentally-focused initiatives in place at the moment and these cover company policies across all kinds of areas.

In addition to the development of new handsets and electronics, he added: "The focus is to develop products that are eco-friendly in all phases of the product life cycle."

The group recently announced it would be bringing back its Chocolate handset.
