LG has officially launched its Optimus G LTE smartphone.

There is a focus on the 13-megapixel camera which integrates Smart Shutter and Low Light Shot Noise Reduction technology to deliver high quality photographs.

Cheese Shutter enables the mobile phone to take a picture when it hears a voice command such as 'cheese' or 'smile'. This could be really useful when taking group shots.

One of the most interesting features of the new handset is the QSlide function which allows users to display two screens at once. This means that an owner would be able to watch a movie while looking up the name of the lead actor online.

An S4 Pro Processor combined with 2GB of RAM should allow speedy multi-tasking, and the 4.7-inch True HD display should ensure that movies and photographs look fantastic on-screen.

President and chief executive of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Dr Jong-seok Park, said: "The Optimus G is a groundbreaking premium device not only in the history of LG but also in the smartphone industry."
