The upcoming LG Optimus G2 has been described as just like another mobile phone from the company, the Nexus 4.

According to a YouTube video posted by 4Leakz, the smartphone is very similar to it, but is slightly thinner. The tipster described the device as "reminiscent of the Nexus 4 dims, except even thinner".

However, LG isn't expected to officially confirm the existence of the Optimus G2 until the company's event on August 7th.

The video comes alongside various specification leaks we've had recently, which suggest the handset will come sporting a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB RAM and a 16-megapixel camera. A 5.2-inch screen and Android 4.2.2 are also expected to be included in the LG Optimus G2.

The Nexus comparisons bode well for the company as the device has been a hit and, although the odd volume controls may put some people off, the Optimus G2 could be a success for LG.
