The LG Optimus G2 mobile phone could come with the MSM8974 processor also known as the Snapdragon 800.
Optimus G’s successor is expected to feature Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a five-inch full HD display, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a 13 megapixel camera and a 3,000mAh battery.
The smartphone could also feature a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor, which would quash competitors’ devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One which sport measly-in-comparison Snapdragon 600 processors, according to a listing on GLBenchmark.
LG’s Optimus G was only released in Asia but rumours are circulating about the possibility of T-Mobile carrying the device, which bodes well for both American and British customers being able to get their hands on the new Optimus G2.
Neither the company or any network carrier have announced their plans for the device, but official statements shouldn’t be too far away.
