The new LTE mobile phone from LG has been waiting in the wings since its announcement at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year.

Now reports have emerged that the mid-range LG Optimus F5 will arrive in France on April 29th and will carry on around Europe after.

It isn’t clear from the company’s website what other release dates there will be for other countries.

The handset will sport a 4.3-inch display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a five mega-pixel camera, 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM all powered by a mighty 2,150mAh battery and carrying Android 4.1.

It is thought the device is being marketed towards countries that have just got 4G as a cheaper alternative to run the fast speeds.

LG has said the Optimus F5 will reach Central and South America and Asia after the French launch but it is unclear whether British users will get their hands on it. Although the firm has hinted that the UK will be getting a 4G device soon.
