Although there have been security concerns with the technology, new rumours indicate that LG could bring a fingerprint scanner in its new mobile phone.

Apple's Touch ID was heavily criticised when the company introduced it in the iPhone 5S, but this doesn't seem to have deterred its competitors as a number have thought about introducing their own.

LG is the latest manufacturer to be thinking about bringing the feature into its handsets. The rumours suggest that LG G3 and LG G2 Pro could both bring the high-end tech.

Reports from Korean site ETNews also claims that the LG G2 was supposed to have a fingerprinting sensor within it but the idea was shelved because of time constraints.

Unlike Apple's iPhone that placed the sensor under the home button, it is unclear where such a scanner would go in LG's handsets. Nothing has been confirmed by the company so we will just have to wait until an official announcement to find out more details.
