Prototypes of LG's first flexible and indestructible OLED screen for mobile phones will be unveiled later this week.

The company plans to showcase the innovative technology at the Society for Information Display's annual conference, which kicks off tomorrow.

It will be the first time that flexible OLED screens have been presented to the public and, according to LG, the five-inch display is unbreakable.

There will also be a 5.5-inch and 7-inch HD Oxide TFT panels and the first will have a 1.0mm bezel, which not only allows for borderless devices, but also gives off less heat.

Bendy screens are the latest innovative technology that all major smartphone firms are trying to perfect, but LG seems to be the first over the line with them launching a prototype this week.

However as we know, the first is not always the best and consumers are usually interested quality rather than who does it first.
