LG has indicated that its latest mobile phone – the LG G2 – be able to download the Android 4.4 KitKat but won't get the update until March 2014.

According to Mobile Syrup, Google's latest version of its operating system will start arriving for the handset in March 2014. The source spoke specifically about Canadian networks but it is safe to assume that the UK and US will receive the update at a similar time.

The UK only recently starting selling the LG G2, despite its official release in August. It has proven pretty popular with its full HD 1080p 5.2-inch display with a pixel resolution of 424ppi and 2.26GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

LG G2 users currently have Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean so it's likely that many fans will be happy to know that KitKat is in sight, even if it is three months away.
