People thinking of selling a mobile and investing in a replacement may wish to consider the Galaxy Note.

Flickr has reported that Samsung – which manufactures the product that is described as something between a smartphone and a tablet – has recorded its one millionth sale of the device.

Among the markets in which the Galaxy Note is said to be growing in popularity are Europe and Asia, with Germany, France and Hong Kong identified as key areas.

The publication stated that sales are expected to advance even more quickly next year as more people turn to the handset in place of other models.

"Samsung will continuously strengthen its leadership in the global smartphone market as well as create new markets with innovative devices," an official is previously quoted as saying.

It was recently predicted by Broadband Genie that Samsung will be the UK's favourite mobile brand in 2012, ahead of the likes of HTC and Apple.
