Devices like the INQ Mini 3G could be more attractive to those who take on board one expert’s recent thoughts.

A spokesperson for Twitter, the online micro-blogging service that counts the likes of Stephen Fry, Jonathan Ross and Jimmy Carr among its users, said the way in which people communicate is changing.

Biz Stone, co-founder of the social networking portal, said the service is being utilised by all types of people in the business community, as well as providing a way for strangers to connect.

"I may send out a tweet … saying I’m having a beer in Logan international airport in Boston, but someone walking through the airport may receive that tweet on their phone and come and join me," he noted.

This was something Mr Stone explained to delegates at the Social Media – A Force For Good? conference was happening all the time.

The INQ Mini 3G is just one device that comes with a dedicated application for use with Twitter.
