The Huawei Ascend W1, another addition to the Windows Phone 8 (WP8) line-up, may be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013.

If speculation is to be believed, the Chinese company will be the fourth manufacturer to get on board with the latest Microsoft operating system.

The first WP8 handsets, the Nokia Lumia 920 and the HTC 8X, are already on sale in the UK. Samsung is expected to release its offering, the Ativ S, imminently.

Lower end versions of the Nokia and HTC handsets, the Lumia 820 and 8S, will also be available to British consumers soon.

Chinese site WPDang claims that Huawei's smartphone will make an appearance at the CES event, which is set to take place between January 8th and 11th in New York.

WP8 is competing with Apple iOS and Google Android, which dominate the global market.

The technology giant will be hoping that innovative features like Live Apps and Kid's Corner will help to improve its customer base.
