HTC is looking to make waves in the mid-price smartphone sector with its new U11 Life Android One handset.
But we don't really know cast-iron details about what the phone will offer just yet.
However, developer LlabTooFeR has leaked technical specifications on Twitter – and a number of media outlets have pointed out that the source has form for being accurate on such matters.
So, assuming the leak is 100 per cent accurate, what does the U11 Life offer?
Key features apparently include:
- A 16MP main camera
- A 16MP selfie camera
- A 5.2-inch 1080p touchscreen
Other standouts include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC processor and a 2,600 mAH battery.
The source also reveals that the U11 Life will come with two different RAM/storage options, with customers having a choice between 3/332GB or 4/64GB.
In addition, it's understood the phone will run Android 8.0 Oreo and be water and dust-resistant.
Finally, the source says the U11 Life will include the Edge Sense feature, which means users can squeeze the frame of their handset.
Nevertheless, we still don't know exactly how much the device will cost, but it's certainly safe to assume it will sit comfortably in the mid-range of smartphone prices.
While much of the attention is being placed on the flagship high-end smartphones right now, it's great to see that the sizable market for mid-range devices isn't being overlooked.
