New reports indicate that owners of HTC One phone range will get the Android KitKat update in a few weeks time.

According to serial HTC tipster @LlabTooFer, people with the HTC One, or its Max or Mini variants, will be able to download the newest version of Android software by the end of February. However, the HTC One X, that is less than two-years-old, will not be privy to the brand new update.

On Friday (January 3rd) he tweeted: "All new devices such as One, One DualSIM, One max, One mini will get 4.4.2 update in time frame January-February."

The insider also speculated that HTC will not bring the heavily-anticipated Sense 6 user interface with the arrival of the Android 4.4.2 download.

Therefore, it is likely that the company are holding out for the release of its HTC One Two to debut the brand new interface.
