Reports indicate that HTC is currently planning to release an octa-core version of its incredibly successful One flagship mobile phone.
A translation from the Greek website TechCommunity.gr indicates that a brand new HTC One variant is being planned by the Taiwanese manufacturer. It is also thought that, as well as a boosted processor, the device will sport an increased memory of 3GB RAM as well as Clear Audio technology for better audio.
A screenshot is also included in the report which claims to show the improved specifications, but as always, it’s difficult to see how genuine the image is.
Although HTC isn’t shy about updating its handsets during its annual cycle, it would be unusual for the company to bulk up the One instead of releasing a brand new powered handset to rival the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
This would probably go down better with people that forked out the money for the HTC One, who may be annoyed to see a more powerful update arrive just six months after they bought the original.
