Mobile phone fans who would like a device that runs on the latest operating system and “stands out from the pack” may be best advised to opt for the HTC Mozart 7.

Gareth Beavis, reviewing the new release for T3, says the Windows Phone 7-based model is a little different from the other four handsets to be released with the platform.

He notes the “headline feature” of the phone is its eight-megapixel camera, which is unrivalled by any of the other products that use the operating system.

The HTC Mozart 7 keeps the standard Windows Phone 7 interface while going a little against the grain when it comes to hardware and special features.

“It’s certainly a lot more pocketable than the HTC HD7 and it feels more premium than the LG Optimus 7 and HTC 7 Trophy,” concludes Mr Beavis.

Microsoft released Windows Phone 7 last month with the intention of it becoming a competitor of the iPhone and Android platforms.
