Consumers with the latest phones from Vodafone – such as the HTC Magic – have been warned about the end of a recent offer.

The network said this week that if its customers want to enjoy the benefits of revised roaming charges, they will need to do so before midnight on August 31st.

It explained this weekend represents the last chance for savings on voice calls, texts and web surfing while abroad, after it announced earlier this year that people could do this overseas for the same cost they would incur at home.

"Although the summer roaming promotion finishes at the end of the month there is still time to take advantage of it before going on that late summer holiday, business trip or last minute bank holiday weekend break," the firm added.

The savings are available to both users of its pay-as-you go packages and those who have signed up to the latest contracts from Vodafone, which recently added the Blackberry Curve 8520 smartphone to its range.
