HTC may be having a rough time at the moment as news emerged that its HTC Mini mobile phone will be banned from sale in the UK.
Now it appears as though a judge may have let the cat out of the bag for the release date of its upcoming HTC M8 – the device thought to be the follow-up to the One.

According to court documents, Nokia has submitted evidence that suggests the launch date would be during the first quarter of 2014.

Presiding over the case, Judge Richard Arnold said: "I accept that there is a period between now and February or March 2014 when HTC is vulnerable."

This timing would fit in with the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014 and could be crucial for the success of HTC in the UK.

It is thought that the Nokia ban could even affect the HTC One being sold in the UK, which means that the patent problem needs to be ironed out before the company launches it next flagship.
