HTC is trying to help its mobile phones users understand the update process when it comes to getting the latest software.

The site explains the numerous stages that are involved in delivering new updates to users around the world. Among the steps are the evaluation, development, integration, certification stages that need to be completed in order to complete the roll-out to various devices.

It shows the most up-to-date software available for HTC’s handsets, including the ones that are able to update to Android’s newest KitKat software.

The company wants to give consumers “timely software updates for both HTC Sense innovation and major Google Android releases”, according to the page.

An infographic is also featured on the page that reveals the 12 steps involved in getting software from Google to mobile phone users.

HTC has launched the page to try and “bring transparency to this process” and will be “marking the steps of preparation and our progress, by device and carrier”, according to the site.
