Anyone with an Android mobile phone may be pleased to know that the popular Guitar Hero World Tour Mobile game will now become available to them for the first time.

The game, which has been downloaded more than half a million times since November 2008, will have some special features for the Android platform, including an accelerometer for added star power and the ability to store tracks on the SD card of the handset.

David MnCaman, head of marketing for Hands-On Mobile, which developed the game, said he is sure fans will be delighted with the new development.

“Guitar Hero World Tour is a perfect download to please any rock star in training,” he added.

The game is the fourth release in the franchise, which has sold over 23 million units, according to Reuters.

In its mobile version, gamers have the ability to download additional songs to add to their repertoire.
