Google's latest mobile phone, the Nexus 5, has appeared on GFXBench after completing two different benchmark tests.
The results indicate that the device is beating many of the other devices on the market. In its first test, the graphics potential of the handset was tested and the Nexus 5 achieved 23.1fps.
In comparison, it equalled the Sony Xperia Z1 and significantly beat the Samsung Galaxy S4 which only got 17.2fps.
The second test also records the graphic capabilities but is a little less rigorous which is reflected in the 59.2fps score earned by the Nexus 5. Samsung Galaxy S4's achieved 43.9fps and Apple's iPhone 5S managed 56.7fps.
Both tests indicate that the Nexus 5 is a powerful device and will beat many of the other Android handsets on the market. It's thought that the Google-powered smartphone will be launched at the end of this year.
Nothing is confirmed about the next Nexus model but it is thought that the handset will bring a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB of RAM and have a 5.2-inch display.
