Smartphone users could find it easier than ever to get in touch with the businesses around them thanks to the development of a new Google feature.

A number of smartphone users may already be enjoying the convenience of having internet on the go but have found that tracking down a restaurant or business in the area they are in can prove tricky.

However, Google has now ensured that the adverts users see are tailored towards their specified location and provided businesses with the option to add a clickable number.

Once users find the contact number that they need they can simply click it and the call will commence.

The news could encourage people who want to use internet while on the go to recycle their old mobile and receive cash to put towards a new handset.

One phone which could provide portable internet access is the Apple iPhone, which is now available in the UK through O2, Vodafone, Tesco and Orange.
