During Google’s conference in San Francisco yesterday (May 15th) is was announced that Android has 900 million mobile phone users.
Senior vice-president of Android Sundar Pichai also announced the Google Play Store has recorded over 48 billion application installs.
The three-day conference is the company’s annual event and is likely to be full of announcements and product reveals.
Google has already unveiled its own version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and a new subscription music service called Google Play Music All Access and more games for the service.
It is the company’s sixth year of running the event and has widely focused on the search engine’s dominance in the market and drawn on the importance of encouraging developers to build thousands of more applications.
Mr Pichai also revealed that over one million people were watching the conference live on YouTube.
