Google and LG look set to continue their partnership as the upcoming Nexus mobile phone is reportedly going to be built by the South Korean manufacturer.

According to a "business-related source", which spoke to, the Nexus 6 is going to be a "lightweight" version of the LG G3. However, what light actually refers to is pretty ambiguous at the moment.

It could literally mean that it will weigh less than LG's handset or it could be referring to the software and apps and it could suggest a stripped-down smartphone with just a core Android operating system.

The Nexus 6 is expected to arrive at some point over the next couple of months, with many pointing to a June/July release date.

This source also cites LG as the makers behind Google's highly-anticipated smartwatch. Not a great deal is known about but Gizmodo refers to it as the "Google Nexus smartwatch".
