All the mobile phone news this week has been surrounding HTC's newest flagship smartphone and now new reports are concerning a gold version of the handset.

Users in the UK may not have to long for their shiny version of the flagship, though it is likely to still set you back a fair amount. A gold edition of the new HTC One M8 smartphone may have to wait as little as two weeks to get their hands on the device.

Phones 4U has already promised to stock the smartphone within a few weeks, but now Carphone Warehouse has joined the party. The UK retailer has vowed to deliver the handset on April 7th.

HTC has already given users the option of opting for 'gunmetal grey' and silver devices following the launch event earlier in the week. However, it has waited a few more days to announced the gold version, maybe to give people more time to trade in their smartphones for its new gold flagship.
