Intel Corporation and Lenovo Group announced the general availability of the new Lenovo LePhone K800 in China, which the companies' first joint venture in the market.
People will be able to get their hands on the new mobile phone from Lenovo's officials website, 360Buy.com, selected Suninf and GOME stores and general Lenovo retail shops.
The handset has an adopted Intel Atom processor and brings users in China a high performance, low-power, smart computing experience that will provide greater choices.
China has become the largest smartphone market in the world and as such chairman of Intel Sean Maloney was quoted as saying in April that the firm aims to gain ground in the expanding industry.
Senior vice president of Lenovo Group and president of Lenovo China Chen Xudong said the launch of the new handset is a significant milestone.
"Lenovo and Intel will continue to intensify their cooperation, integrating respective advantages in technology and resources to introduce more and better products," he added.
