New rumours have suggested that Samsung's next flagship mobile phone could be unveiled before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) kicks off.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be released on February 23rd, before the MWC officially starts, according to serial leaker Eldar Murtazin.
"Samsung Galaxy S5 launch – 18.00. Barcelona. 23 February. Price the same. Launch – end of April. Specs – u know them 🙂 new touchwiz ;)," reads the tweet.
Although we've heard rumours that Samsung would announce its new flagship at the big tech event, the company has dodged the meeting for the past few years. Both of its previous flagship handsets – the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S4 – have had separate launches.
This has allowed its handsets to get all the attention and not get lost in the mass of updates and new smartphones that happen at the MWC.
Other reports have also speculated that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will have an event in March that is held in London or New York – not the Barcelona event.
