Facebook released its own Home mobile phone earlier this year and it didn't have much success. However, the social network's personalised interface may become more popular as it includes other popular social networks in its design.
The Facebook Home allows users to swipe through their Newsfeed without having to open up the relevant application. However, the design has been changed in order to include other major social networks; Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr and Flickr.
Facebook's engineering manager Tom Alison said that users can "view more of the content you care about on your lock screen", in the company's announcement post.
"When you wake up your phone, swipe through photos and posts from Flickr, Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram, in addition to Facebook," he added.
The company says that users will simply need to connect to their accounts with their Home device to start seeing the new additions to their user interface. However, if you want to change what you see from the lock screen, you can alter what appears in the settings menu.
