HTC may be working on a smaller and cheaper version of its current HTC One mobile phone, according to Evleaks.

The slimmed-down phone will sport a 4.3-inch screen, a dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and is codenamed the M4.

It is expected that the company will announce the handset, which will run Android 4.2, at the end of June.

The device will also be LTE enabled and have an UltraPixel camera similar to the One’s and probably have a very similar look and feel.

However it may be made from different materials, with a plastic casing rumoured instead of the pricey aluminium body found on the One.

Whether the reports are accurate or not remains to be seen, but it would seem to be a smart move for the company as the HTC One has been well-received. However, in the past "Miniature models" haven't fared as well as their originals.
