Mobile phone company Blackberry could see the new Q10 handset debut on home shores.

Canada could be the first to get its hands on the highly-anticipated device as the latest offering from the company is expected to arrive on in just a few weeks.

The release date in the country is April 30th, according to a leaked document from Canadian carrier Rogers, which listed the smartphone.

Revealed through website Mobile Syrup the report confirms the rumours that the Blackberry Q10 would be released across the nation in April.

Rogers then began taking pre-orders for the Blackberry10-equipped handset, selling it for $199.99 (£128) with a three-year contract and $649.99 on its own.

With the carrier set to deliver Blackberry Q10s on the 30th of this month, other rivals have started to take pre-orders as well.

Canadian customers are notoriously faithful to their homegrown company, so the new handset should be gratefully received.

Here in the UK pre-orders have started but there seems to be confusion about when the device will actually reach British shores. Some carries are intending to deliver it by the end of April while others don't expect it to arrive until May.
