British firms could plan to trade in their mobile phones and switch to a deal on offer from the network T-Mobile.

It has promised to make a number of its top smartphones available to companies on a special 12-month contract.

The tariff has been designed with small businesses and sole traders in mind and aims to provide a shorter-term option for organisations that may not wish to sign up to use mobiles for more than a year.

“Micro businesses and sole traders have long been overlooked by mobile operators but it’s these groups that really need more quality, flexibility and value, without being tied into long term contracts,” explained Martin Lyne, small and medium-sized enterprises director at T-Mobile.

The devices on offer are the HTC Desire S, BlackBerry 9300, BlackBerry 9780 and the HTC Wildfire S.

Another network – Three – recently launched a new deal for consumers, adding the BlackBerry 9360 to its portfolio.
