Companies operating in a variety of sectors may find that selling their collection of mobiles phones and investing in a set of BlackBerry devices makes perfect sense.

As well as the hi-tech nature of the brand's models, links to the latest apps and smart and professional design, the firm is now offering a help service to small businesses.

Research in Motion (RIM), which manufacturers BlackBerry products, has confirmed there will be a free online service available to bosses who choose its handsets.

"BlackBerry Management Center is a free service and an effective way to centrally manage and support employees' BlackBerry smartphones in the cloud," said Alan Panezic, vice-president of enterprise product management at RIM.

He added that the service has been specially tailored to meet the needs and demands of small firms.

RIM recently claimed that the popularity of BlackBerry models across the world is on the rise, with a 67 per cent year-on-year expansion recorded.
