BT has announced the launch of a new handset that could encourage some professionals to consider recycling mobile phones.
Aimed at business users, the network states that it has added the Samsung C6625 device to its range in a move to address a growing trend for firms to want their staff to have access to the best technology on the go.
The model is powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 and forms part of a strategic partnership between BT, Samsung and Microsoft that encourages smaller companies to employ affordable communication solutions.
As part of the BT Talk Time package, subscribers can expect a free Samsung C6625 with free unlimited mobile email and web access, as well as use of synchronised email and a host of Microsoft Office applications.
Bill Murphy, managing director of the carrier’s business department, said: "BT wants to make mobile working an option for all businesses."
The network announced this week it would also partner Starbucks to provide Wi-Fi access across its chain of coffee shops.
