It appears as though struggling BlackBerry is not giving up the mobile phone game just yet, with reports indicating that the Canadian manufacturer is about to launch more devices.

According to BGR, the firm is preparing an all-new smartphone with the code name "Windermere".

The site managed to speak with "multiple trusted sources," which told it that the upcoming handset will set a new precedent for the company, rocking a wider frame that consolidates a physical keyboard into three rows instead of four.

According to the sources, the keys will include an element of touch sensitivity, allowing for gesture-based typing. We've seen this tech from the Canadian manufacturers before with the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Z30 both capable of accessing items in the same way but with a touchscreen keyboard instead.

BlackBerry is also said to be thinking of running "two apps on screen simultaneously side-by-side."
