BlackBerry customers who may have sold their old mobile phone to upgrade to the smartphone can enjoy a Twitter application for Tweets on the go.

A review of the beta version of Research In Motion’s (RIM’s) BlackBerry Twitter application by Know Your Mobile stated that it is "slick and well designed".

People who are considering selling their used mobile phone for cash may be encouraged to hear that the application reflects Twitter’s own website.

There is also support for uploading images via Twitpic, as well as new messages being shown on the BlackBerry homepage for convenience.

"It’s certainly going to be successful and this is a credible Twitter application that compares well with the rest of the pack," the review stated.

Selling an old mobile phone to upgrade to a BlackBerry could be made even more attractive after RIM recently revealed new software to allow employees to securely access their work email accounts via their handsets.
