The first look at the price and release date of the latest Blackberry Q10 mobile phone has been revealed.

According to Unlocked-mobiles a sim-free Blackberry Q10 will cost £529.98 which is more than the Z10, its predecessor, as it retails for around £500. The mobile phone company expects the handset to arrive on April 26th which concurs with the statement that Blackberry made last month.

The company said: "We expect the first global carriers to launch the BlackBerry Q10 in April."

Although when specific countries will actually receive the new device is yet to be confirmed by the Canadian firm.

Techradar said the news was "a little surprising" as it was expected to be cheaper than the fully touch screen enabled Z10 .

The Q10 will run the latest Blackberry 10 operating system which has been in the news lately after it was rumoured that it hadn't met the security standards for the UK government. The handset will also have a HD touchscreen, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.
