The date that T-Mobile UK released as the day BBM would be reaching iOS and Android mobile phones, has been confirmed as incorrect by BlackBerry.

In its statement, the Canadian company said that it never specified a date when its messaging system would be moving to iOS and Android devices.

Blackberry said in a statement: "While there have been reports that BBM will be available to iOS and Android on June 27, this is not accurate. We will communicate an update as soon as we have an availability date to share."

T-Mobile UK has since deleted its tweet that identified June 27th as the date where BBM would be extending its platforms.

At the moment it looks unclear when non-BlackBerry users will be able to use the company's messaging to system, though it is still on the way.
