One of the latest phones from Research in Motion has been described as ideal for those looking for style and functionality.

The company behind the BlackBerry saw its Bold model introduced in Vietnam this week and a spokesman for Viettel Telecom – one of the networks behind the launch – outlined why the device was so special.

Bui Quang Tuyen, deputy director of the Vietnamese carrier, said the partnership with RIM was based on a desire to bring the most advanced handsets to customers.

“The BlackBerry Bold […] delivers extensive functionality and premium features in a chic and elegant design. Understanding the value that our customers lay on such features, we continue to work to offer the best products,” he explained.

RIM has equipped the model with a 624 MHz processor, as well as 3G HSDPA, GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The handset also has a two-megapixel camera and full qwerty keyboard – and is available in the UK on Vodafone, Orange and T Mobile.
