Apple iPhone 3G S users and fans of basketball may welcome news that a new game has been praised this week.

NBA Live is a title that Pocket Gamer’s Tracy Erickson noted as having been on the market for some time, but added that in its latest incarnation some changes have been made.

The gameplay is described as “easy-going”, while the touch controls have been designed for maximum accessibility and can prove particularly useful when launching offensive attacks.

“Players are moved using a context-sensitive analogue stick that appears wherever you press your thumb on the left-half of the screen,” it added, praising what is overall “a simple control scheme”.

The title also carries all 30 of the teams that appear in the US league and follows the launch earlier this year of Flick NBA, which features a host of mini games that may interest new iPhone users who have recently recycled old mobiles.
