Motorola‘s BACKFLIP with MOTOBLUR has received an award at the 2010 CNET Best of Consumer Electronics Show in the mobile phones and smartphones category.

The awards – chosen by the editors of the website – recognised the company’s latest handset to use the Android operating system.

Consumers may want to consider mobile recycling to allow an upgrade to the handset, which has features including a 3.1-inch screen, QWERTY keyboard and BACKTRACK.

“Since introducing our first MOTOBLUR-based device, we’ve remained focused on differentiating the Android experience and bringing it to new carrier partners around the globe,” said Sanjay Jha, co-chief executive officer of Motorola and chief executive officer of Motorola Mobile Devices.

He added that BACKFLIP maximises the multi-tasking and multi-functional potential of MOTOBLUR with “its unique design elements, making it as smart as it is social”.

The mobile phone also provides users with the security that lost devices can be located from a secure personal information portal.
