Now that the move from Nokia to Microsoft has completed, it is time for the rumours to begin again about what devices we are likely to see in the near future.
Although Microsoft has confirmed that it will be creating the Lumia 535 as its first post-Microsoft phone, it seems that the next generation of the Nokia Lumia 1020 is also a likely candidate, and this is no doubt welcomed news to those who were apprehensive that the Lumia 1020 family may disappear along with the Nokia name.
According to The Verge, it seems that a new image has been leaked on to a Chinese auction site called TaoBao, showing the next Lumia handset, which is being referred to as both the Lumia 1052 and the Lumia 1030, depending on where you read about it.
When it comes to design it is similar to the Lumia 1020, but there have been rumours that the Lumia 1030 (or Lumia 1052) also has an impressive 1080p AMOLED display, as well as a quad-core processor. It appears to also have an aluminium case, rather than a polycarbonate one, like the Lumia 1020 has.
What’s more, the most impressive feature that has so far been rumoured about this supposed device is its camera. If murmurings turn out to be true, we could be looking at a 50MP feature with a shutter-less design and 4th generation short pulse LED flash, rather than Xenon.
It has also been suggested that the device will run on the newest version of Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS. Rumours of a ‘3D Touch’ interface have also been doing the rounds.
While the news is clearly very exciting, it is very important to remember that these are just rumours and Microsoft has not actually confirmed anything about this handset.
