Mobile phone company Apple is trying to force Google to reveal its Android source code in a court-battle against rival Samsung.

The iPhone manufacturer has accused Google of not revealing all the necessary information concerning the operating system before the trial started, according to Bloomberg.

Google is tied up in the argument because it supplies Samsung's phones with its operating system so it "provides much of the accused functionality", according to Apple's lawyer Mark Lyon.

The American company is wanting to know the specific search terms Google is using when trying to find the documents Apple has requested.

Its lawyer said that it was a "question of transparency" and that Apple has concerns that its rival is not doing a "full search".

Matthew Warren, representing Samsung, said that he didn't see the fairness behind Apple's argument.

The judge is yet to decide whether or not Google will have to provide the information.
