People who recycle mobile phones in order to switch to the Apple iPad will be able to enjoy greater access to leading search engine Google.

The Google Mobile Blog has confirmed that a “significant redesign” of the company’s app for the device has taken place and was launched yesterday (November 21st).

It noted that whether a consumer wants to research a subject via the web or simply enjoy beautiful images, it is now easier than ever.

That is because Google has added a raft of new features to its iPad app that helps to make it “more interactive” and “more visual”.

The online publication went on to reveal that searching for information is now faster than before and Google Instant has been deployed to help predict what a user is about to look for.

According to the new Sunday Times Tech List’s best gadgets of the year study, iPad 2 users have access to the top accessory of 2011 – the Elgato Eye TV feature.
